JEFFREY MARTIN GOES TWO FOR TWO IN MOM’S STREET STOCK SERIES ON AUTOSAVER GROUP NIGHT AT SPEEDWAY 51
Mother Nature finally smiled on Speedway 51 powered by the Autosaver Group this past Saturday night at the Groveton speed park as car counts continue to grow, and the racing keeps on getting better as side by side racing is the norm at Speedway 51. Autosaver Group Night winners included Craig Bushey double dipping in both the Late Models and the Tiger Sportsman, Jeffrey Martin in the Street Stocks, Makita Giroux in the Daredevils, Travis Moulton was the Cyclone winner and Addie McDaniel’s won the Lady Angels main event.
The highlight event of the night was the Jake McDowell Memorial Street Stock Classic featuring a 75 lap feature for the Caron Fabrication Street Stocks. This event was Round #2 of the Mom’s of Lancaster Twin State Street Stock Series featuring cars from Speedway 51 and Thunder Road. The race was dotted with several cautions that saw the lead changing hands numerous times before Barre, Vermont’s Jeffrey Martin grabbed the lead and held off consistent pressure from Allan Birch and Kasey Beattie to claim back to back Series wins. Fourth through tenth finishing positions included Stephen Martin, Tom Smith, Scott Weston, Ryan Ware, Dylan Laleme, Juan Marshall and Tanner Amyot. Heat checkers flew for Dean Switser Jr, and Birch.
Craig Bushey took a hard fought win back to Fairfax, Vermont as he held off the “Flyin’ Frenchman” Mike Giroux to score the popular win in the North Country Ford Late Models. Bushey and Brendan Moodie battled throughout the first 30 laps of the 51 lap feature. Bushey grabbed the lead for good on lap 36, and kept the field at bay the rest of the way. Doug Laleme, Mike Kenison and Moodie completed the top five. Jeff Marshall and Moodie carried qualifying checkers.
Craig Bushey went two for two on the night as he coasted to victory in the Perras Ace Hardware Tiger Sportsman main. Jason Kenison settled for the second spot ahead of Nick Gilcris, Jon Boutin and Kevin Boutin. Bushey and Bunker Hodgdon were victorious in the preliminary rounds.

The White Mountains Community College Cyclones saw the winner Jamie Heath fail post race inspection handing the win to Travis Moulton. Moulton was followed by Nick Gilcris, Chris Ouellette, Nick Miller and Todd Derrington.
A slim field of Lady Angels saw Addie McDaniel’s defeat Nicole Ouellette.
This coming Saturday night July 14th will see the return of the American Canadian Tour Late Model Series (ACT) for their second time at Speedway 51 this season for the 151 lap JP Sicard, Inc, Kingdom Gravel and Aggregates extravaganza. Joining the ACT Tour will be the Perras Ace Hardware Tiger Sportsman, Caron Fabrication Street Stocks, Claudette & Dean’s Place Daredevils, White Mountains Community College Cyclones and the Lady Angels.
